Lindsey & Travis

Lindsey & Travis

Always the life of the party at Wartburg College, Lindsey married Travis in a New Years Eve celebration on December 31, 2011.  Lindsey was my first “Pinterest Bride,” and we created a lengthy shot list out of her rustic pins, going above and beyond her Pinterest desires to personalize each photo.  Lindsey’s wedding was the largest wedding (and wedding party — 22 people!) I’d photographed, but it wasn’t an issue at all!

Josh and I showed up at the church for Rehearsal the night before, where the wedding party was decked out in Ugly Sweaters.  Hilarious!  After Reherasal Dinner, I snagged the wedding rings and went to work creating Lindsey’s detail shots.  Twine, buttons, a Bible, ribbons, a quilt, cowboy boots… I had a blast getting down’n’dirty artistically!

Jennifer & Steve

Jen and Steve were married on May 7, 2012 at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.  A rainy, overcast Monday in the Chicago suburbs provided a lush background for outdoor photos, while ensuring the bride and groom a little luck on their wedding day.  A Monday wedding, you wonder?  Jen and Steve have an interesting story.

Steve, a Chicago native, went to the University of Hawaii, where he met Jen.  They fell in love, and Steve proposed to Jen on the picturesque Waikiki Beach.  How’s that for a picture perfect proposal, ladies?!  Jen decided to move back to Chicago with Steve to attend nursing school after college.  They decided to hold the wedding the Monday after Jen graduated, so her family could attend both events in one trip from Hawaii.

Heather & Brandon

Heather & Brandon

Heather contacted me a few months before I moved to Texas.  She loved my work, and although I was moving, I decided to shoot her wedding — boy am I glad I did!  Heather and Brandon’s love is palpable — you can feel it when they look into each others’ eyes.

Pulling into Lena, IL, I knew Heather and Brandon had been blessed with an extraordinary wedding day.  The fall colors and mild temperatures made for beautiful pictures to last a lifetime. Lake Le-Aqua-Na provided a picturesque backdrop for this green and purple themed bridal party!
