Always the life of the party at Wartburg College, Lindsey married Travis in a New Years Eve celebration on December 31, 2011. Lindsey was my first “Pinterest Bride,” and we created a lengthy shot list out of her rustic pins, going above and beyond her Pinterest desires to personalize each photo. Lindsey’s wedding was the largest wedding (and wedding party — 22 people!) I’d photographed, but it wasn’t an issue at all!
Josh and I showed up at the church for Rehearsal the night before, where the wedding party was decked out in Ugly Sweaters. Hilarious! Jen and Steve were married on May 7, 2012 at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. A rainy, overcast Monday in the Chicago suburbs provided a lush background for outdoor photos, while ensuring the bride and groom a little luck on their wedding day. A Monday wedding, you wonder? Jen and Steve have an interesting story.
Steve, a Chicago native, went to the University of Hawaii, where he met Jen. They fell in love, and Steve proposed to Jen on the picturesque Waikiki Beach. How’s that for a picture perfect proposal, ladies?! Jen decided to move back to Chicago with Steve to attend nursing school after college. They decided to hold the wedding the Monday after Jen graduated, so her family could attend both events in one trip from Hawaii.Read More »
Angela is like a sister to me… literally. Our dads have been best friends since before we were born, and I’ve called her dad Uncle Wayne all my life (well, until my sister started dating Angela’s brother, because that would sound weird). Angela met Jason soon after I met Josh, ironically at the same bar in Plano, Texas. Tragically, Austin Avenue burned down a few months later in a freak Fourth of July accident, but the flames of our loves have remained burning bright.
