Tiffany and Phil heard about me after I photographed their friends’ wedding, Tiffany and Rob, in July 2011. Living out of state, I didn’t actually get to meet Tiff until her wedding day, but I can definitely say we connected right away! Everyone in the wedding was fantastic, and I loved the vintage theme!
When I went to Wartburg College, I’d drive through Petersburg, Iowa. I’d always seen the cathedral Tiff got married in and hoped to one day photograph a wedding there. My dream came true, and it was more beautiful than expected!
Tiffany’s dress was breathtaking! An off-white, vintage gown, it was detailed and stunning. I was super pumped to hang the dress from the cathedral doors and get a full-length shot of the church with the dress! Tiffany and Phil were so at ease with each other, it was wonderful. Most of their kissing photos were actually candid — these two just loved smooching!
After the ceremony, the bridal party hopped on a custom vintage trolley for a joyride and photo opportunity. We stopped at a barn and took romantic photos in an alfalfa field while the wedding party tossed back a few cold ones for the happy couple. The beautiful Iowa August day couldn’t have been better, and the sunset was picturesque.
All the travel (DFW –> Cedar Rapids –> Dyersville) was well-worth this wonderful wedding day!
