Pat and Robert were married on June 23, 2013 at Coyote Ridge Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas. A second marriage for both, their bridal party was small and intimate — their children. What made this extra special was the speeches Robert’s son and Pat’s daughter made, showing the true love, admiration, and appreciation they have for their parents.
I first met Pat and Robert in January. Immediately it was obvious that Pat’s smile and personality could light up any room — she’s phenomenal! Pat is good friends with my godmother, Jane. (Side note for anyone confused: I was born in Carrollton and lived there until I was almost 6 before moving to Chicago with my family).
Pat’s bridal session was in May at the beautiful church near Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Her dress, as you can tell from the photos, is absolutely stunning. So are her rings! Anyone who’s familiar with my photography style knows I love detail shots. I had so much fun with all Pat’s details!
The ceremony was intimate, with the groom shedding a tear as he saw his glowing bride walk down the aisle to her future with him. A Sunday evening, the ceremony was followed by a delicious buffet style dinner, heartfelt toasts, and dancing. This couple was having so much fun it was hard to pull them away to take some romantic photos outside! It was obvious to everyone in the room that Pat and Robert are truly meant for each other. The way they look at each other and interact… it’s indescribable. Infinite blessings and happiness for you both, Mr. and Mrs. Day!
